I can’t see why, in this day and age with the technologies around digital imaging, including printing having evolved to the degree they have, that we should not be manipulating images in photoshop or other image editing software. There’s no intrinsic difference between this and doing similar work in a darkroom. The latter represents the use of state of the art technology from over 30 years ago, the former is the current state of affairs. I think we need to embrace the present and the future, but we should not, in doing so, turn our backs on the past.

@ Byron: Fully agree!
Pinhole photograpy and the use of modern technologies (digital camera’s, HDR and manipulation of colors, lensdistorion and sharpness) can result in original art-like images. But especialy in pinhole photogray its still the artist (and selfmade lens) who makes the image, and the public who likes it or not.
Hope others will hook on in this discussion and present there own images. Roel
